American-born, French-trained, in Beirut since 1994.
I am a saxophonist and professor at the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music, where I have taught since 1994. I studied at the University of Minnesota and the École Normale de Musique de Paris, and served in the 298th US Army Band in Berlin, 1987–89.
Since 1994 I have played and recorded with Ziad Rahbani, Julia Boutros, Hiba Tawaji, Charbel Rouhana, Omayma Khalil, Ghazi Abdel Baki — and many more, including Oussama Rahbani and the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra, where I have been a regular soloist since its 2000 debut. I don’t know of another Western musician with a list like this. If one exists, I’d like to meet him.
I have been a Henri Selmer Paris artist since 2015.
I build practice apps for wind and brass players, teach privately online and in Beirut, and wrote The Execution Gap.
